My First Mac

I've never owned a mac before, and today I received my first... a 13" Macbook Air (upgrade to 8gb RAM). I'm dead excited to open it up and get it started. Any hints, tips, tricks, advice for a new mac user?

I too have an imac after years of using PC's (or Billy's junk as my husband calls it). My advice? Be patient. It takes a while to "learn" the OS. My best advice is to buy one of those apps that show you how to start out..gives you the keyboard shortcuts and takes you step by step into the wonderful world on Mac. There are several of then out there. If you have a iPad or iphone you can also find these apps on the app store. Some are free.

Gratz on your new Mac, I bought a imac a few years ago, then another then a MBP, I think the thing i like the most is the OS. once your used to it, it makes windows feel so outdated

i'm on my first iMac (18months old now) and i still find new things to amaze me,in fact macs are so amazing i had to get my wife a mac book pro to get her off of my imac!

Go onto iTunes and subscribe to Cult of Mac (of course) and Mac Power Users podcasts. You can start listening from the beginning and also find subjects you might be interested in to listen to on these podcasts. I listen every week and always learn something.
