iTunes Match just will not work

Hi

I have upgraded all of my macs to OSX Mountain Lion (in fact on my main machine iMac mid 2011 - complete fresh install). Started to have problems with iTunes Match and would not sync up. Tried pretty much everything, reset, sign out/sign in, deauthorise computer etc etc and nothing has worked. In end telephoned Apple Support and they asked me to go to one of my other machines and delete everything (after backing up) from iTunes Match and then try resyncing from fresh..............did not work and now I have nothing in my iCloud.

So I have signed every device out and just working off my iMac to try and sync and still just leaves every single one of my songs in the library waiting, runs Step1 part of Step2 or just part of Step1 (depending how it feels I guess) and never actually gets to Step3. I did get to Step3 previously before Apple had me wipe everything off but it just froze and then re-ran again!

Can anybody help as Apple Support must have just run out of ideas as they asked me to email iTunes Support and they just said they would refer it on.......days and days ago!

Thanks.

Did any one answer this problem? I have the same problem. I am running match on a MBP 15" Retina, using Mountain Lion and when I try iTunes Match is will not go through steps 1, 2, and 3. I continue to get a dialog box back saying, "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (4002)." Then in smaller letters there is this, "There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later."

I think iTunes Store is having a few issues at the moment. May be due to some background work on iTunes 11. Hopefully we should know in a few days! :)
