Mid '11 iMac 27" upgradeability

Hey folks,
I'm getting a 27" iMac soon, and I'm interested in how upgradeable it is. I'm getting it to help me at Uni, as I have complex learning difficulties (though you'd never know!) and as I need it for all three years of my degree, it's probable that I may need to upgrade the memory and possibly the graphics card in the coming years. I can't really wait for the next iteration because that would mean just having an iPad for the first few months, while although great, isn't really good enough.
Any input would be much appreciated!

Get as much RAM as you can...16gb to start is great.
