Are You Disappointed With The iPad Mini [Let's Talk]
There always seems to be an echo of people on the Internet that are let down after an Apple event. Maybe it's our own fault because we hyped the products up too much in our minds before actually seeing them. Or maybe Apple's under-delivered a little bit on the iPad Mini.
I plan to buy an iPad Mini on November 2nd (mostly because I just sold my iPad 3 last night), but part of me wishes the iPad Mini was just a little bit better. I wish it either had a better processor, a better display, or a better price. If Apple had improved just one of those three things a little bit then I'd be warp-drive enthusisatic about it. But after the unveil, the iPad Mini doesn't look more compelling than a Kindle Fire or Nexus 7, other than it runs iOS 6.
What do you think about the iPad Mini? Are you excited? Disappointed? Or is everything just as you thought it would be?

Yes, it's feature-rich. Yes, it has substantially more screen space and pixel density than the Nexus 7. Yes, it has access to the largest (and safest) app store in the world. But... $329... too high.
They couldn't start it below $299, because the new iPod Touch starts at $299. It would be very strange to price a 7.9" tablet BELOW the cost of a device in a different size class that offers the same software features. So they made it as cheap as possible given the pricing structure that Apple follows.
Still... I'm a little disappointed. Not at the device - it's a wonderful device. No, I'm disappointed in the price. I would absolutely be getting one if the price was $249.
For now... I'll stick with my 3rd Gen iPad and iPhone 5.

It also looks like they're dropping the numbers from the iPad name...
