New iPad (4) Erratic Screen Behavior

I've had the new iPad (version 4) for about one week, and just now when I was using the Kindle app, the screen started going nuts. Pages were turned without my touching the screen, other apps popped open, shut down and still others popped open, all without my touching the screen at all. I shut down completely, fired it up again, and the same thing started happening, with or without the Kindle app being open. I did a hard reset too, but that didn't help either.

Thinking it might be caused by some kind of app interference, I deleted the only new app I had installed since getting this iPad, something called Big Lens. No help. I shut down Bluetooth. No help.

From googling "erratic screen behavior iPad", I found similar issues on the iPad2, but I have not seen this on my iPad2 at all.

At this point, I'm planning to go to the Apple Store after the holiday craziness is over. I do have Apple Care, so there is no huge rush to get this seen to. Have any of you had this happen? Must be some kind of electrical problem, don't you think? By the way, the iPad had a 28% charge remaining when this started.

It won't be an electrical problem just an issue with the screen.

    Have you tried the following....

    1. Clean the screen (do you use hand cream etc?)
    2. Hard reset (keep hold of the home button and the power button together when turning of)
    3. Restore

If none of these see an improvement you will need to go see a genius. Make an appointment to save yourself a bit of time. They will run a test on it for faults then try and replicate the issue. No doubt they will replace it :)
