new computer and New to Apple Mac Platform
Hi, I'm totally new to the world of Apple and Mac. I have been a windows user since the beginning. Being from a small town in the south I didn't have access to Mac products so Windows was what I got to learn by default. Anyways I currently have a Acer laptop running windows 7. I am looking to get a better computer and am now considering a Mac. I hate the new Windows 8. Its got an alien feel to me even for a windows user. So I am considering switching to mac but I have three must haves and wonder if anyone can help me decide?? First I am a loyal Firefox user. I hate explorer with a passion! And my bookmarks are all on Delicious.com. And lastly I have to be able to run Microsoft office because my job requires that. Otherwise I play a couple of games like Civilization V. Can I get this with a Mac computer?? I've heard that Apple software's hard to come by and stuff like that is why I wanted to ask. Thanks Shaughn

You can get Office for Mac. If you're buying from an Apple Store the advisor may offer it to you for a discount if you buy it there and then. Otherwise... http://www.microsoft.com/uk/mac
I'm not sure about civilization as I don't game. You can Run windows on bootcamp or parallels if you're desperate though :)
