Hey Cult-of-Mac'rs! I searched through the existing discussions on this topic and saw one from July that ended in an improvement to Mountain Lion's speediness with Airplay, but it was still not very clear. My question is:
Is there any way, with things how they are today, to have Airplay's lag at a negligable level? The dream is to be able to use Steam's Big Picture Mode and essentially eliminate any needs for a console. People have suggested Air Parrot, they've suggested having each end on different frequency bands, or having one or both ends wired up to ethernet. So who has come the furthest towards eliminating the most lag?
My current setup is:
Early 2011 17" MBP
ATV 3rd gen
Airport Extreme
Fiber 100 Mbps up / 100 Mbps down internet connection
Tips?
Thanks, guys!
